The Last Two Weeks Have Been Busy
We drove across the United States to our new home in Vermont and have been unpacking boxes ever since.
If you want to help, there are still few more to open! 🙂
But seriously, you are invited to visit us here. Our new house is in a lovely spot that feels like it’s out in the country even though it’s also very near to downtown Burlington.
It’s the Perfect Spot for a Retreat
And I invite you to join me for a weekend, or five days, of doing The Work one-on-one in person as a guest in our home.
We’ll cook delicious, Ayurvedic, vegetarian meals for you. You can join us for walks. And there will be plenty of time for rest, meditation and The Work.
A Facilitator Friend Was Asking How I Structure a Personal Retreat
Here’s how I do it.
I have a set schedule for the day that includes down-time as well as work time. For a Phone-Free Weekend retreat we spend 14 hours doing The Work.
During the “work” time, we simply work Judge-Your-Neighbor Worksheets one after another.
Sometimes they go fast, taking only an hour or so. Other times, we go slow, taking as much as six hours for one worksheet.
It’s very free-form. I let each worksheet lead the way, with no restriction on time. And the time flies by as we do deep into The Work.
And There’s Time for Questioning One-Liners Too
Sometimes, underlying beliefs come up. Or we make lists of stressful thoughts to question outside of the Judge Your-Neighbor Worksheet format. Sometimes we spend extra time identifying the stressful thoughts to question.
The whole experience is very relaxed, even though we put in many hours of doing The Work.
If you want to dive deeply into your own work, this is a powerful way to do it.
And who knows, if we get a boat, we might even take you out on the river or the lake! 🙂
Send me an email if you’re interested.
We’ll also be spending part of each year in British Columbia, Canada.
Have a great week,
Todd
