Have You Ever Lost What You Typed?

The windows didn’t open in the basement of the library. And the air could have used some freshening. Twelve of us college students were typing furiously to get our papers done in time.

I had been working for hours on the Spanish paper I was writing, and was doing one last review before printing it.

Suddenly, my stomach flipped when my screen went blank. I had accidentally hit the delete button. This was 25 years ago, and we were working on an old VAX system. There was nothing I could do. There was no way to raise my paper from the dead.

Today’s Computers Are Much Better

There is autosave, and back-up disks, and all kinds of fail-safe mechanisms to avoid the problem I ran into over two decades ago.

But there’s one area where your type is still vulnerable.

And that’s on a website. We run into it in Slow-Cook Inquiry. Every day, in Slow-Cook Inquiry, we type our work on the forum. And usually, there is no problem.

But sometimes your browser crashes, or you accidentally hit the wrong button. And you have no choice but to start again.

What Is Needed Is A Way To Raise The Dead

Introducing, Lazarus!

Lazarus is a free browser plugin that works in Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Once you install it, it will save a copy of what you’re typing into any webpage.

So when you’re doing your work in Slow-Cook Inquiry, even if your browser crashes, you will be able to recover your work. It’s simple to install, simple to use, and it’s free.

I highly recommend it for anyone who is participating in Slow-Cook Inquiry. And for anyone who types important work into online forms. Especially if you compose things online, like on a forum, or even Facebook.

Get Lazarus Here

Sure, I could do The Work on that old lost Spanish paper. That would clear up my past. But why not prevent future catastrophes too?!

You won’t regret getting Lazarus.

Unfortunately, Lazarus has gone the way of all mortal souls! 🙂 Alas, this software is no longer available.

Have a great week,
Todd
