Would it be a window, or a door, or a stairwell? Would it be the opening to the West, or to the East? Or would it be the fire escape?
I think the best escape would simply be the nearest one that’s clear. There’s no need to debate much about it. Just get out as soon as possible, by the nearest possible route.
Many people think that if they find the perfect concept to work, then they’ll be able to take a shortcut to peace and freedom. Then their work will be done.
They spend so much time and effort deciding on the perfect concept to work, that they never get to do much work. They often never quite feel that they’ve found the right one yet.
And on top of that, they put enormous pressure on themselves to “break through” with that one concept, if they ever do settle on one.
It could be hazardous to your health!
Just pick-up the nearest stressful situation, put your thoughts on paper, and start questioning them.
Each stressful situation contains your whole mind there. Your whole life can show up in a tiny incident. I like to think of a single stressful situation as a doorway. One that can lead you out of the burning building once you question it.
This door may lead through several other doors before you get outside. But notice as you go. Can you feel the heat decreasing each time you pass through another doorway? This indicates that you’re moving away from the fire.
It’s that simple.
Have a great week,
Todd
