Someone points to an apple and says, “You can’t have that apple.” And you think it means you can’t have any apples. This is such an interesting trick of mind.
If a bee doesn’t find nectar in the first flower, it goes to the next, and the next, and the next. That’s how I do The Work.
This client has been participating for two years in the Slow-Cook Inquiry program. Slow-Cook Inquiry is a password-protected forum where we do The Work five days a week for 10-15 minutes per day.
The Work can be used in any situation. Even future situations. Usually fearful thoughts involve the future. They are concerned about what might happen. And what I hope won’t happen. So it’s natural, when doing The Work, to look at future situations, not just past or present situations, and to harvest stressful thoughts from those future situations to question.
In one sense, pushing someone down works. I guess that’s why we all do it. As long as I am more powerful than you, I can push you down and there are no repercussions for me. I win. You lose. And you no longer bother me. That’s one way to solve a problem. But it only works if you are the most powerful player in the game. If there is anyone more powerful, too bad for you.
The sun rises in the east. That’s a solid fact. Have you questioned it? There Is truth and non-truth in everything. So why limit your questioning to opinions only? Some of my most fascinating discoveries have come from questioning solid facts.
